    I. What is the Tubular Ultrafiltration Membrane Module?

The SHANGCHEN tubular ultrafiltration membrane module is a water treatment device that uses ultrafiltration membrane technology to remove suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, and macromolecular substances from water. Similar to column-type and curtain-type ultrafiltration membrane modules, the tubular ultrafiltration membrane module typically consists of multiple membrane tubes, with water flowing through the membrane tubes for filtration.

    II. Features of Tubular Ultrafiltration Membrane Module

• The ultrafiltration membrane module is an internal-pressure composite membrane and operates in cross-flow filtration mode. The filtration layer is made of PVDF or PPSU, and the membrane tube is made of modified HDPE. Waste liquid is fed into the membrane tubes by a circulation pump and circulates at high velocity. Under pressure, soluble salts and water molecules permeate through the membrane and flow out from the permeate side, while insoluble macromolecules and particles are retained by the membrane and returned to the concentration tank. This process is continuous circulating concentration.

• The membrane exhibits an excellent filtration flux of 900–1200 L/(m²·h) per unit membrane area.

• The flow velocity in the membrane tube is 4–6 m/s, three times that of comparable tubular microfiltration membranes. This high velocity continuously scours the membrane surface, reducing foulant retention and concentration polarization. The membrane withstands long-term repeated cleaning with strong acids, strong bases, and strong oxidants, with a service life of 5–10         years.

• Withstands repeated cleaning and long-term service in waste fluid containing strong acids, strong bases, and high concentrations of salts and solvents. At 3.5 h per cleaning, it can withstand more than 1,260 h of cumulative cleaning (about 360 cleaning cycles).

• The membrane layer is reinforced on a tough support layer, ensuring strong fouling resistance; after chemical cleaning, the filtration flux can be rapidly restored to 100%.

• Provides high filtration precision and supports long-term operation at high temperature.

• Exhibits excellent resistance to strong oxidants.

   III. Applications of Tubular Ultrafiltration Membrane Module

• Drinking water purification: Widely used in household and community water purification equipment to provide safe and reliable drinking water, especially in areas with poor water sources.

• Agricultural irrigation water treatment: Used to purify irrigation water, remove bacteria and pollutants, ensure the safety of agricultural production, and increase crop yields.

• Water reuse treatment: In industrial production, generated effluent is filtered and purified for water reuse, reducing water resource waste.
