Excessive salt content can easily inhibit the activity of microorganisms, making conventional biochemical treatment processes extremely difficult.

[Leather Making High-salt Wastewater Renovation + Operation Project of Taishan Dasha Environmental Industrial Park]
The wastewater of the Dasha Environmental Industrial Zone Wastewater Treatment Plant mainly from the leather production wastewater of leather enterprises in the Park, and has a complex composition and contains high concentrations of chrome tanning materials, high concentrations of chlorides, sulfides, surfactants, chemical additives, oils and fats, and difficult-to-degrade organic matter. The wastewater volume for transformation of the Project is 4000t/d. The chloride ion content of the raw water is as high as 4000~8000mg/L. The wastewater has a high salt content, with an average TDS concentration of 4000-6000mg/L and an average conductivity of 8000-9000us/cm.
In view of the wastewater characteristics of the sewage treatment plant, the original process of the sewage treatment plant was upgraded and transformed, and the unique OSMMBR high-salt wastewater biochemical technology of Shangchen Environment was adopted. The water plant was operated professionally, breaking through the limitations of high-salt environment, metal and sulfide toxicity on the activity of biological strains, cultivating efficient and active bacterial strains under such conditions, and effectively improving the overall treatment process efficiency.
